About Me

My name is Hayes Geldmacher. I have been hopelessly devoted to videogames since I first guided Yorda through sunlit ruins in Ico, died to the Asylum Demon in Dark Souls, and infiltrated an enemy base using only the tranqulizer in Metal Gear Solid 5. In the ensuing years I have continued to fall in love with games all over again, knowing that my greatest joy lies in creating meaningful interactive experiences even as I enjoy the dedicated creations of others.

I have years of experience designing systems, writing code, and rigging characters for 3D games in both Unity and Unreal, and am eager for work as a technical designer. I am fluent in C#, Python, and Java, and familiar with industry-standard programs like Maya and the Adobe Creative Suite.

I am a senior at the University of Utah, and will graduate in May 2025 with a dual bachelor’s in both English Literature and Game Design. I am also the Engineering Officer for the GameCraft club at the University of Utah. When not working or studying, I enjoy reading science fiction novels, hiking with friends, and bothering my cat.
